Duo wanted to pull away. He wanted to shake his head and tell her he was fine if she would just point the way. He couldn't, though. He was exhausted. This new place, the creatures and people, the snowstorm...it was a lot to take in. And if this girl was his ticket to safety, he'd take it. Begrudgingly, but he wouldn't put up a fight. So long as the parrot didn't touch him, he would be "good" and let himself be dragged where ever.

Although, her suddenly loss of confidence wasn't a good sign, as far as Duo could tell. She almost sounded like she was lost herself, and he was just about to say as much, but between the chattering teeth and her sudden outburst, he kept his own trap shut. So maybe they weren't as lost as he thought.

Once inside, Duo wrapped his arms around himself, still shivering as he looked around the building from under the bill of his cap. His waist-long braid whipped this way and that, the tail of it threatening to smack against the girl who dragged him here and the talking bird. He was busy taking in the sights and almost missed the girl trying to call for someone's attention. She was giving him to the Alliance, he just knew it! He should have known better than to trust her! Now he was going to go back to the cell!

It was out of instinct, the way he reacted. He reached out to push the girl away and turned to dart towards the first door he saw. Locked. As was the next one. Great! Perfect! Looked like his only option was to brave the storm of white stuff. He didn't want to go back out there where it was cold, but he was NOT about to let himself get sent back to the Alliance. He'd go down kicking and screaming first!

He wasn't even sure if someone would stop him. He didn't pay any attention as he bolted for the door that led outside. Whether or not he was stopped, it was up to anyone who was close enough to grab him.
