TEST DRIVE MEME Interested in joining Terminal Tokyo? Well, before you apply feel free to testdrive any character you're interested in playing here! This is a good way to see how your character will work in the environment or even the potential CR. For the sake of this meme you are allowed to choose your own partners but it will not count as game canon. Nothing that happens here will, it's just for practice! That said we've decided to give you a bit of what you will see if you join the game. Keep in mind once a month we'll put up sets of missions your characters can join for bit, which is what some of these are! Others are mini-events. So here we go: MINI-EVENTS 1) ON THE FRITZ!: Data gets scrambled from time-to-time and, unfortunately for you, so does your Digimon! The Digital World is having difficulty dealing with some of the Data, so all the Digimon are randomly changing back and forth from their digivolutions. Hope you have room for a giant dinosaur in your rooms! OH, DON'T STEP ON THE BOTAMON! 2) BATTLE MUSIC: One of the shifts causes music to follow your character around for a maximum of two days. Are they upset? Rocking out? Whatever they're doing we hope they're enjoying their new battle theme! 3) ROCK PAPER SCISSORS--DUCK!: Sometimes the most juvenile of games becomes the most perfect way to relax. Why not enjoy a few rounds of everyone's favorite game "Rock Paper Scissors"? Just be careful. It seems a fewDracmon have decided to take this game quite literally and won't stop until you have beaten them at their own game. Just...beware of falling rocks, flying paper cranes, and sniping scissors... MISSIONS 1) CALL THE EXTERMINATORS: 500 BIT Despite the battle that took place some time ago, it seems that a few Beemon made it out alive and are ready to terrorize the city once more. They aren't so great in numbers or strength, but they're still annoying nonetheless. Keep the city from falling apart, and receive a reward! 2) CAPTURE THE FLAG: 300 BIT Poor, poor Elecmon. The baby Digimon in Primary Village all want to play Capture the Flag, but one Digimon is not enough to play with. Please come keep the babies busy, and Elecmon will pay you for your troubles. Hurry! They're getting restless! 3) I'VE BEEN WORKING ON THE TRAILMON: 300 BIT Though they live in what's called a "graveyard", the Trailmon who live there are still Digimon and need love too. Give them a bath. Sing them a song. Treat them nicely, and they might give you a reward for keeping them company. 4) Laffy Taffy: 500 BIT A new candy shop is about to open, but there is just one problem. THERE ARE NO TAFFY PULLERS TO MAKE THE TAFFY FOR THE GRAND OPENING! And everyone knows that taffy is the best candy of all. Chosen and their partners get paid a mighty fine fee for aiding in the pulling of the taffy. Watch out that you don't get stuck! 5) TRAINING WITH CHOSEN: 100 BIT With some of the recent Chosen adjusting to their roles, some of the newer Chosen might be looking to them for help, which includes fighting experience. In the spirit of promoting such camaraderie, an observing or participating NPC will give those actively training a few bits for their effort. And, as always, you're also allowed to do this in a free form! These are just ideas to get your gears rolling and see what to expect. (NOTE: All missions and events are more light-hearted here, but will not always be in game).

Mission 3!

[fourthday]

[Rhyme's always been a hard-worker. So after perusing the missions board and thinking very carefully about which mission appears the most worthwhile thing she can do today, she decides to visit the old Trailmon's home. Only dragging along a bucket filled with water (at just the right temperature! She wouldn't want to make them cold.) is a bit of a task in itself. And the digimon accompanying her, Cutemon, is getting a little bit antsy.]

You need to hurry, kyu! The water'll be getting cold really soon, kyu. Hurry, kyu! Hurry, kyu!

I know. But haste makes waste! if we hurry and lose all of the water by the time we get there-

i'll help, kyu!

[And. The Cutemon attempts to push on the bucket, inadvertently tipping it over. Rhyme watches quite sadly as it all pours down the street and down the nearest drain.]

And we were so close, kyu...

... Don't worry. We can go back and get more. There's no use crying over spilled milk, so I guess that applies to soapy water too...

[And here's Meruru, coming up behind Rhyme, trying to manage two buckets of water (because Meruru is sometimes an overachiever), when she notices Rhyme's dropped hers.]

Oh! Here, why don't you carry one of mine? That way, you don't have to go all the way back.

[respecting]

[You're in luck, Rhyme! Approaching in the distance is Beat and his digimon partner, Gaomon. They both have buckets. Looks like he saw she took the mission and went to catch up! Although, that sure is an empty bucket, wow.]

Yo! You already done?!

[fourthday]

[ Rhyme, ahead of Beat? Unpossible! She turns around and smiles, quite sheepishly holding her arms, and empty bucket, behind her back. ]

Beat! Hey! ... We kind of had an accident.

[ there's a small giggle. And to not make poor Cutemon feel any worse...]

I should have had a way tighter hold on the bucket. They're kinda heavy when they're full...

[respecting]

Aight, I gotchu! Why don't we do it together then?

[fourthday]

[ that's a very good idea. So! With a smile, Rhyme nods and allows Cutemon to lead the way. ]

Thanks, Beat. That's a great idea, and it means we don't have to waste time getting more water. I was worried going back now would make them think they'd been forgotten about.

[ and of course Cutemon pipes up. ]

yeah, what miss Rhyme said! I would have thought a big tough guy like that would choose fighting missions. But this works!]

I think Cutemons trying to say thanks, too.

Heh, s'fine. Fighting missions is old hat, right Rhyme?

[3 weeks straight of fighting, and after that he's trying to clean up his act now that he's back to life. And that means being a good big brother is more important too.

Gaomon would have preferred to fight though, that's for sure. He is trying to be stoic, but looks more than a little awkward carrying the bucket with his boxing gloves, and is watching his steps very carefully.]

[fourthday]

[ a considered nod. Considering the four days she experienced of the reaper's game, the fighting thing isn't exactly on her to do list again. Though it must have been worse for Beat, way worse.

Even if they're in a world a little stranger than the UG, they're alive. And she's with Beat. That's enough for her, even if he's resigned herself to the fact the chances of seeing her brother again are marginally better than none.

...unfortunately for Beat, the last thing she remembers before coming here was that shark noise.
She's still oblivious. ]

That's right. And Cutemon, you'd be surprised. You shouldn't judge on appearances.
Ever since I met Beat, he's been way more than some muscle head.

... Even though he's still really strong.

[respecting]

[WHYYY. WHY THIS AGAIN???

Well, he's going to have to break the news to her eventually, but now isn't the time. He will just ... grit his teeth into a grin somehow and play along. Gaomon regards his reaction with confusion. TIME TO CHANGE THE SUBJECT.]

...Aiiiight, we here, yo! Let's bust dat rust!

[ Cutemon seems to echo that expression at the glimpse of Beat's face she's afforded, but Rhyme's quite used to it. She's noticed a few times in the game she's said things, and Beat's looked a little funny, but she doesn't want to push him into saying anything he's not comfortable with until he's ready. Everyone's got a past, right? And she doesn't want to risk losing a friend she feels some weird form of affinity with over pushing him to spill secrets she's got no right forcing out of him. Her voice is cheerful as she responds. ]

Right!

[ and she speaks quietly, respectfully, to a Trailmon, as if he's some obaasan in an old people's home. Unfortunately, like some obaasans, this Trailmon is a little deaf in his old age. ]

Um, I said "would you like a bath, not "where do you dump the trash..."

[ and she turns to Beat. ]

This might be difficult. But we can do it, right?

[respecting]

It'll be fine! You just gotta speak up!

YO TRAINS! That's 'Trailmon!' Oh yeah, right. TRAILMON! We're here to make you nice and shiny!

[he holds up the bucket for emphasis]

[Chika frowns as she sees all of that water just... flowing away. She and Biyomon have their own buckets, much smaller and much more easier to carry than that giant one.]

Umm, do you want some help with the next bucket? With me and Biyomon the four of us might be able to carry it instead of dragging.

[Since, you know, dragging wasn't working.]
