[A] [Five year old human Donnie looked terrified. Very terrified. Where was he? Why was he human? Why was he topside when he was forbidden from ever going there? Where was Master Splinter and his brothers? Why did he have an larger than normal egg with him?!

Whatever was going on, the little boy was too scared to think about it. So he sat in the corner of a nearby alley to try and keep out of sight. he clung to the egg, tears in his eyes and he sobbed. he was so scared.]

[B] [How much time had passed since he had last been in the city? Time could be so strange in the Digital World after all. Donnie was older now, more mature. He was a inch or so taller now and he looked more mature and hardened, numerous battle scars over his body. But he was still him, he could never change.

Right now he was just walking, seeing what had changed and what hadn't. By his side was Kamemon, who still looked surprised to see the purple-banded ninja again. But he would wait to ask Donnie about what had happened in his world, he wasn't the same brat he used to be after all. Death taught him better.]

[Saori was out for a walk when she heard sobbing from an alleyway. Naturally, she went in to find the source. Not wanting to scare whoever it was, she calls out softly.]

Hello, is someone there? It's okay, I'm not going to hurt you.

Donnie's sobs halted when he heard the voice. He froze, someone heard him. It could be a human, and he wasn't supposed to be seen by humans. Sensei said so. But... he was human too, so that changed the rule? Right?

With a gulp, he peaked his head out. When he saw the human woman, his eyes widened and he pulled back. He backed as far as he could into the darkness of the alley, clinging to the Digiegg in his trembling arms. He was scared and just wanted to go home.]

[Even with Donnie de-aged, Saori could recognize him. Considering the fact he didn't recognize her, she knew a more gentle approach was needed. She crouched down so she could be eye level with him. ]

You don't have to come out. We can just talk of you like. My name's Saori. What's yours?

[At first Donnie just kept his eyes closed tightly, but the gentle voice and presence made him open them a bit. He lifted his head-up slowly, tearful brown eyes staring at the human woman. He gulped before speaking in a soft, almost inaudible voice]

D-Donatello... m-my brothers c-call me Donnie...

[Saori smiled warmly at Donnie. Guren was at the entrance of the alleyway, making sure they won't be bothered. ]

Okay, Donnie. Nothing bad is going to happen while I'm here. Why don't you come out from there?

[He shook his head furiously] S-sensei... D-daddy said... n-not to talk to humans...

You're a good boy to listen to your sensei then. I know things maybe scary right now, but you shouldn't be alone like this. It's okay to be afraid, you know. When I got here, I was scared too.

[Thar caught his attention] R-really...?

Yep. Grown-ups can get scared too. Sometimes we're forced to say we aren't when we are. I've never been in a such a world like here before. The only way we can make this place less scary is if we learn about it a little at a time.

Do you want to hide there forever, Donnie? It doesn't look much fun.

[Donnie hesitated, looking down at his Digiegg. He wasn't supposed to talk to humans, he shouldn't even be topside. He should go hide in the closest sewer and hope that his family were down there looking for him. He didn't want to worry Sensei for long and he didn't want Raph to hit him for being a scared baby.

But at the same time, was his family here? He was scared, he was human and in some weird world that his family may not even be in. He looked up at Saori with tearful brown eyes before gulping and getting up. He walked out of the dark, clinging to his egg and pouting a bit.]

I-I'm scared...

[needsteaplz]

It's okay, Donnie. I'm here to chase those scary things away.

[Saori's heart almost stopped when she got a better view of little Donnie. Those eyes reminded her of her own little brother. How many decades had it been since she saw the face? No, she shouldn't group them together. Slowly she raised her hand to wipe some of the tears on his face.]

There, there. Things will get better.

[When Saori reached out, Donnie closed his eyes tightly. But once he felt her wipe his tears, the little boy opened then and stared at her. His trembling calmed as the tears slowed down slightly before he stood up.]

C-can we go i-inside. M' not s'posed to be outside.
