Yeah? You better watch out though cuz she kin get real mean n' yell a lot. N' break things. N' then she'll cry n' make you feel bad.

[ She sighed, pouting quietly to herself and resting her head against him, dangling under his arm. ]

Lord Squall, are you a Wish Dragon? Kin you grant wishes?

If anything I think I'm more of a runt.

Really? [ She thought about it for a long time before eventually shrugging and swinging her legs until she could grab her own ankles, dangling in an odd loop from under Squall's arm. ]

That's okay. So am I. Tetsu says runts grow up to be the biggest and best of all. They just start off really small, so people throw 'em out. He says that's why mama says like she does...cuz I'm runty n' all. So I'll get bigger than her some day...then she'll see.

You will too. You'll grow up real big, n' other dragons'll be nice to you. Don't worry! [ Roze chimed, reaching out and patting his side reassuringly. ]

You think so? How sure are you of that.

[ He shifted her around until he got her on top of his shoulders now. ]

WHat if Im mean to the other dragons?

But why would you do that? [ She asked, leaning to rest her chin on top of his head while her hands wrapped around against his chin. ]

If you're a good dragon, you shouldn't be mean to the other dragons. Only bad-guys are mean.

Maybe Im just a bad dragon. With a bad attitude.

Nahhh. I'm not friends with bad people. MWAH!

[ Just a statement of fact and a kiss on the head. Life. Its really that simple. ]

H-hey... you shouldn't kiss random dragons you meet, Roze.

[ His face is slightly red but luckily she can't see it because she's up there. ]

Mwah mwah mwah.

Mwah.

Lord Squall's not a random dragon. He's my dragon.

Lord Squall are you gonna be my dragon for always?

Are ya?

[ A light tug punctuated her words, pulling his head up slightly every time with her insistent grip. ]

[ he starts walking off with his face completely flustered. ]

Perhaps....

[ Like any child, 'maybe' was practically yes, and Squall was rewarded for the weak affirmative with a hug around his head. ]

I love you. Lets be best friends forever, okay? Promise me?

[ He doesn't say anything but he does lift his pinky up to her. ]

[ Roze emitted a soft gasp, eyes wide with awe. A real promise with a real dragon? It didn't take long for him to feel her much small pinky wrap around with his. ]

Best friends forever. [ She whispers in a tone of reverence exclusive to children. ]

Forever.... yes

[ He bounces her a little on his shoulders. ]

[ That earned him a delighted squeal and several giggles, hands wrapping around his chin once again for security. Running away from home and meeting a dragon all in one day, PLUS makin' a best friend? FOREVER? Best day in her life. ]

So... food right?

[ If she remembered any of this she would never let him live it down ever. ]

Yeah! BURGERS! FRIES N'SODA! WOO!

[ the likelihood was low, but chances were better that if she remembered, it wouldn't be anything to tease about. ]

Burgers and fries.... Soda too. Woohoo?

[ He was trying at least, right? ]

[ She didn't quite catch it, but his attempt at shared enthusiasm was appreciated nevertheless, legs kicking and hands pawing at his face while she rubbed her own face into his hair.

It had been an exciting day, that was for certain. No doubt a big meal and she'd end up ready for a nap. ]

[ He glanced up at her and took off running. He figured she'd be the type to appreciate that. ]

[ He'd be right. The kid absolutely lost her shit. Her screams of delight could be heard for several blocks and her hands flailed in the air like she was riding a roller-coaster, Squall encouraged to keep going with delighted shrieks of "YAY YAY! WOOOO!" among other things less easily deciphered. ]

[ he might have ran past the cafeteria just a little so he could run with her a little longer. It was a good way for him to keep in shape as well. ]

[ Whatever helped him sleep at night. Roze couldn't have cared less about the reason - she was ridin' a mutha-lickin' DRAGON. Eat that, mama. ]

[ After fifteen more minutes of running around the city he finally slows down as they reat the cafeteria area again and walks in. ]

[ Fifteen minutes of running and screaming was a lot for any child. Especially one that had already been running around town with a digimon who didn't have any idea what to do others than walk in circles until she was too tired to continue. Now she was slumped against the back of Squall's head, arms dangling to either side of his face and she might have been drooling into his hair just a little big as she dozed. ]
