TEST DRIVE MEME -- DECEMBER
TEST DRIVE MEME Interested in joining Terminal Tokyo? Well, before you apply feel free to testdrive any character you're interested in playing here! This is a good way to see how your character will work in the environment or even the potential CR. For the sake of this meme you are allowed to choose your own partners but it will not count as game canon. Nothing that happens here will, it's just for practice! That said we've decided to give you a bit of what you will see if you join the game. Keep in mind once a month we'll put up sets of missions your characters can join for bit, which is what some of these are! Others are mini-events. So here we go: 1 POWER PROBLEMS A swarm of Kunemon have invaded from the forest! Having electric attributes in their attacks, they're causing all sorts of power problems around the city. Can they be stopped before electrical fires start up? 2) BATTLE MUSIC: One of the shifts causes music to follow your character around for a maximum of two days. Are they upset? Rocking out? Whatever they're doing we hope they're enjoying their new battle theme! 3) CRAZY WEATHER WE'RE HAVING!: Have you ever heard the expression "raining cats and dogs?" Well, now it's raining Gatomon and Doggymon, and they're understandably pretty unhappy! Or maybe you happen to be on one of the more normal weather days, like a sudden heatwave, or a freak blizzard, or a raging sandstorm! Better watch out for that tornado day, too. You're already not in Kansas anymore, after all! 1) BABYSITTER ANYONE?: 300 BIT Petermon’s a jerk. He’s used his abilities to brainwash some baby Digimon into causing havoc around the city! Stop them from wrecking everything, again, but don’t hurt them too bad! 2) WE CAN REBUILD IT: 500 BIT The poor, poor city. It's in shambles! You've been drafted to help fix it up, in whatever way you can. Planting trees in the park? Fixing holes in the apartment building? Reconstruction of entire shops? Hope you're good with a hammer. 3) I'VE BEEN WORKING ON THE TRAILMON: 300 BIT Though they live in what's called a "graveyard", the Trailmon who live there are still Digimon and need love too. Give them a bath. Sing them a song. Treat them nicely, and they might give you a reward for keeping them company. 4 FIRE! 500 BIT The DemiMeramon's are a mischievous bunch, aren't they? Don't think so? Well, we hope that's not your house they're trying to burn down! A bunch of DemiMeramon are loose and setting fire to the outskirts of the city. Stop them before they destroy the whole city, but be careful! They may turn into Meramon, easy enough. 5) TRAINING WITH CHOSEN: 100 BIT With some of the recent Chosen adjusting to their roles, some of the newer Chosen might be looking to them for help, which includes fighting experience. In the spirit of promoting such camaraderie, an observing or participating NPC will give those actively training a few bits for their effort. And, as always, you're also allowed to do this in a free form! These are just ideas to get your gears rolling and see what to expect. (NOTE: All missions and events are more light-hearted here, but will not always be in game). |
Wily-Kit | Thundercats (2011)
Kit couldn't believe it. Less than an hour ago it had been a normal, sunny day, and now? It was a blizzard. She was just glad her partner was still safe at home; she'd just been making a quick run to the grocery store for a few things, and hadn't expected to be long.
The first flakes of snow had started to come down almost just as she'd been exiting the store, which was weird, since there weren't even any clouds. It hadn't taken long for the wind and snow to pick up, though and soon Kit was stuck in near white-out conditions. What had started an amusing oddity had quickly lost its fun. Her paws were getting numb, the icy wind seemed to cut right through her fur (which by now was all wet thanks to the snow), and she could barely see where she was going.
Not to mention that the snow was starting to pile up, making walking even more difficult. Kit didn't know if she'd be able to make it home like this, but she knew she'd have to find some sort of shelter soon, or she'd be in trouble...

Babysitter Anyone?
Ahh! No, babies! Stay away from those! You could get-
[It was about then that the cluster of tiny Digimon upset the rack of garden tools and sent them clattering to the ground... and in the case of the handle of one particular rake, onto Kit's head.]
-Ow! ...hurt.
[She sighed. It was becoming obvious that this wasn't working. Pattamon wasn't having any better luck, with two of the babies playing tug-of-war with his big wing-ears, much to his dismay.
Looked like there was only one thing to do. She pulled out her flupe and began to play, hoping its magic would trump whatever was making the babies run around all crazy.]
We Can Rebuild It
[While Kit wasn't much with a hammer and nails, and was obviously unsuited for any heavy work, painting was one thing she could do. And that's what she was doing now, slathering white paint onto the outside wall of a shopfront while humming a little tune to herself. She also kept an ear out just in case someone called for her; besides painting, she was also fetching tools and supplies for people who needed them. It was a lot of work, but the owner of the shop had promised free food to anyone willing to help out, and she had never been one to turn down food.
She sighed, though, looking at where the paint had dripped onto her clothed and fur.]
I'm probly gonna need a bath after this...
#3
[Twenty feet away, a tall slender girl with soft pink hair was wearing a paint stained smock as she worked on a beautiful image on the side of a stone wall. Some of the image was sketched out in charcoal and if you moved to the right position you could see her idea. It was a large sized painting of titanmon under attack by many of the Digimon and chosen who had taken part in the battle. She was currently painting in the purple on what looked to be a large purple unicorn down by one of Titanmon's feet.]
Paint is absolutely awful to clean out of fur.
Re: #3
[It's about then that she notices the partially completed mural, and steps back a bit, abandoning her own paintbrush for the moment to get a better look.]
Wow! That's neat! Did you draw it?
Re: #3
[She sets her paint down and goes over to the other Smocks near the supplies. Taking one she moves back over to her bag and takes out some scissors, shortening the fabric in some areas]
Re: #3
[She indicates the bucket of white paint and brush she'd been using. She then grins as she sees the older girl shortening the smock for her.]
Heh... And I didn't know we were allowed to do that either. Thanks.
Re: #3
[Walking over she gently slips the smock around Kit and moves behind her to tie it off for her]
Do what you want and apologize after. It's alot faster then asking for permission.
Re: #3
I guess, but... what if the owner of the shop get mad and won't give us the food he was going to?
[Not that Kit really thought that he'd be mad about having such a pretty painting on the wall of his shop, but well, grown-ups could be weird about stuff like that. And it didn't do to mess with a chance for free food.]
Re: #3
We make the wall beautiful and they deny us food? Doesn't sound fair to me. If it happens then we'll just take what we deserve.
Re: #3
And yeah, I know we could take it anyway but... well, I've kinda gotten used to not having to steal everything I need. It's nice.
My name's Wily-Kit, by the way. [Turns around and offers a handshake once the smock is securely in place.] Everybody just calls me Kit, though.
Re: #3
[She shakes the younger girls hand]
I'm Jinx. Any I don't steal because I have to. I steal because I want to. It's a challenge. It's fun. And it's even more fun if the jerk deserved it.
[A wink]
Re: #3
But stealing's not quite as much fun when you don't have a choice. My brother and I stole cause if we didn't we'd have starved. Just saying... it's nice to not have to worry about that here, you know?
Re: #3
I do know. Let me guess. Orphans?
Re: #3
After Papa died, our mom was having trouble taking care of all of us and still working the farm. So Wily-Kat- he's my twin brother- and I ran away so she could take care of our little brother and sister better. We were going to find a map to El Dara, the City of Treasure, and come back once we had enough money so she wouldn't have to worry anymore.
[Kit looks a little sad at that.]
That was awhile ago, though. And even thought we've traveled all over Third Earth with Lion-O and everybody, we still haven't found El Dara.

Crazy Weather
But at least she wasn't getting snowed on right now. Unlike another girl that she was seeing outside of the window of the store. Knowing that she didn't have much time, Chika pressed open the door and stuck her head out, trying to ignore the cold for long enough to get the message out. ]
Hey! Hurry up and get inside before you freeze!
Re: Crazy Weather
It was hard, since the wind kept wanting to push her over sideways, but after a few moments she managed to make it in through the door, staggering a bit at the sudden lack of wind pushing against her. She also noticed, with a moment of triumph, that she had managed to not lose any of the groceries she'd bought. That was forgotten for the moment, though, in favor of slumping down against a wall to catch her breath and maybe shiver a bit as the other girl closed the door, shutting out the storm.]
Th-thanks. Dunno what happened, b-but one minute it was fine, and the n-next it's a snowst-t-torm.
no subject
It's the Digital World. That just happens sometimes. It's really, really annoying though.
no subject
[Kit sighed She needed to dry off before she got sick, sitting around in cold, wet clothes and fur.]
Are there any t-towels or anything I could use? My f-fur's all wet.
no subject
[ She turns her head, looking around for a few moments to see if she can find anything that's a towel or something. She does see some, but well, they're stuff that they need to buy, not things that are just around.
Chika still moves to grab it, before heading back over to Kit. ]
Here! I'll take care of paying for it later, just start getting dried off, okay?
no subject
Being mostly dry was finally enough to stop her shivering enough that she could gather her things and move further in, away from the door. She sighed.]
Thanks. But I'm gonna pay for the towels, OK? Was my own dumb fault for getting stuck in the snow, and you kinda saved me.
no subject
Okay. That's... well, it's not really your fault that the world is stupid, but if you'd feel better about it you can pay for them if you want.
no subject
Yeah, I know. Just... not really fond of sudden bad weather, is all.
As for the towels, I'm the one who needs them, so it's only fair I pay for them. Besides, it's nice to be able to pay for stuff I need.
I'm Wily-Kit, by the way.
[Offers slightly damp handshake.]
no subject
I think that's the same for everyone. But it's nice to meet you anyway, Wily-Kit! I'm Chika.
[ She pauses for a moment though. ]
So, umm... should I just call you Wily, Kit, or both?
no subject
Nice to meet you too. And just Kit's fine.
[Indicates the snow that can still be seen through the window.]
So... does this happen a lot around here?
no subject
Not really? At least, it doesn't snow much more than normal, but it is getting to be winter now. So it's going to happen more often. But just out of nowhere isn't something that happens a lot.
[ She blinks before giving a bit of a giggle. ]
But well, we've had it rain cat and dog digimon one time too, so yeah. This place is really really weird anyway.
no subject
That's good. If this sort of thing happened all the time, I'd end up having to stay home a lot.
[Kit just kind of blinks in surprise at the idea of it raining digimon.]
Cats and dogs fell from the sky?! ...They didn't get hurt, did they?
