TEST DRIVE MEME -- DECEMBER
TEST DRIVE MEME Interested in joining Terminal Tokyo? Well, before you apply feel free to testdrive any character you're interested in playing here! This is a good way to see how your character will work in the environment or even the potential CR. For the sake of this meme you are allowed to choose your own partners but it will not count as game canon. Nothing that happens here will, it's just for practice! That said we've decided to give you a bit of what you will see if you join the game. Keep in mind once a month we'll put up sets of missions your characters can join for bit, which is what some of these are! Others are mini-events. So here we go: 1 POWER PROBLEMS A swarm of Kunemon have invaded from the forest! Having electric attributes in their attacks, they're causing all sorts of power problems around the city. Can they be stopped before electrical fires start up? 2) BATTLE MUSIC: One of the shifts causes music to follow your character around for a maximum of two days. Are they upset? Rocking out? Whatever they're doing we hope they're enjoying their new battle theme! 3) CRAZY WEATHER WE'RE HAVING!: Have you ever heard the expression "raining cats and dogs?" Well, now it's raining Gatomon and Doggymon, and they're understandably pretty unhappy! Or maybe you happen to be on one of the more normal weather days, like a sudden heatwave, or a freak blizzard, or a raging sandstorm! Better watch out for that tornado day, too. You're already not in Kansas anymore, after all! 1) BABYSITTER ANYONE?: 300 BIT Petermon’s a jerk. He’s used his abilities to brainwash some baby Digimon into causing havoc around the city! Stop them from wrecking everything, again, but don’t hurt them too bad! 2) WE CAN REBUILD IT: 500 BIT The poor, poor city. It's in shambles! You've been drafted to help fix it up, in whatever way you can. Planting trees in the park? Fixing holes in the apartment building? Reconstruction of entire shops? Hope you're good with a hammer. 3) I'VE BEEN WORKING ON THE TRAILMON: 300 BIT Though they live in what's called a "graveyard", the Trailmon who live there are still Digimon and need love too. Give them a bath. Sing them a song. Treat them nicely, and they might give you a reward for keeping them company. 4 FIRE! 500 BIT The DemiMeramon's are a mischievous bunch, aren't they? Don't think so? Well, we hope that's not your house they're trying to burn down! A bunch of DemiMeramon are loose and setting fire to the outskirts of the city. Stop them before they destroy the whole city, but be careful! They may turn into Meramon, easy enough. 5) TRAINING WITH CHOSEN: 100 BIT With some of the recent Chosen adjusting to their roles, some of the newer Chosen might be looking to them for help, which includes fighting experience. In the spirit of promoting such camaraderie, an observing or participating NPC will give those actively training a few bits for their effort. And, as always, you're also allowed to do this in a free form! These are just ideas to get your gears rolling and see what to expect. (NOTE: All missions and events are more light-hearted here, but will not always be in game). |

Chika nodded, but didn't say anything to her partner. She was bundled up in a lot of layers, had a hat on, and was basically looking like a giant pink walking ball with all the layers she had on, including her pink winter coat. And gloves. "I know. But they said that a few people were missing and not safe, so we can't just leave them out here. Whoever we find might be in a bad situation and freeze!"
Biyomon and Chika might've said more, but then they heard a sneeze coming from near them and both of them turned in the direction that the heard it. And frowned when they saw that the building wasn't in good shape. "Umm... hello? Is someone there?" Chika asked, slowly starting to move towards the rubble.

Finally, after a long moment of thinking, he crawled out of the building in a crack that most wouldn't be able to fit. He was small, so it made it easy for him to get around, and he knew it.
Standing up, he shivered and wrapped his arms around himself. All he had when he arrived was the clothes he had on, his cassock and slippers, and the black cap on his head. His blue, near violet eyes studied the pink puffy girl and the walking bird before he answered.
"H-Hi. Wh-Wh-Who are y-you?" He frowned, realizing his teeth were chattering.

She turned her head to look over at Biyomon. "Do you think you can keep him warm with your feathers?"
Biyomon shook his head. "I... I don't think I work that way, Chika."
She turned her head back over to the boy, frowning a bit. "Come on, we need to run really fast and get you inside. You're going to get really sick if you stay out here."
no subject
But soon the girl was talking to him again, pulling him from his thoughts and all he could do was frown.
"I w-won't get-t-t s-sick." He didn't get sick from that plague. Why would he get sick now? "But...but ok-k-kay. So long as the thing stays away from me." He nodded his head towards Biyomon. "L-l-let's g-get outta h-here. M'c-cold."
no subject
And with that, she started to walk towards the nearest building she knew of. Hopefully he won't be too against the whole her holding his hand thing, but she wanted to make sure she didn't lose him.
no subject
Well, he would just have to cross that bridge when they got there.
Every so often during the walk, he glanced back at the bird thing that was following. He didn't trust it. And having it behind him made him more than a little uneasy. Of course, if he could see or hear it, it made him anxious. So far, though, it didn't seem to want to cause harm, but that didn't mean it wouldn't turn against them. Putting a little distance between him and the bird, he jogged a little to walk beside the girl, his free hand keeping his hat on his head.
"Wh-Where're we g-g-goin'?" Because that was important information that he needed to know in case something went wrong.

Biyomon didn't visibly react to Duo's looks, but well, he couldn't help but feel just a little bit annoyed. The two of them were just trying to help Duo, and they didn't deserve to have him glaring at him like that.

He almost wished he was back in that cell. Almost. This place was still better than being in the Alliance's hands...
Once more, he glanced at the bird before stepping closer to this girl. Not quite a friend, but not quite an enemy. There's just enough trust there that he could use her for a little while before he would find somewhere else to hide. Maybe the snow would be gone tomorrow? Or later in the day? He could leave then, but he would have to rely on her for a bit.
He didn't like it, but it was necessary to live. He huffed to himself before shivering violently against a burst of wind.
"How m-m-much long-ger?" He tried not to sound so pitiful. After all, he wasn't some baby. But he was cold and tired and hungry, and apparently that made all the difference in the world.
no subject
... No. Okay, no they were good. Because it was right there. "There it is, come on!"
And with that Chika's going to pull him just a little bit further now. Because she needed to get him inside without too much trouble.
Biyomon followed after them, eager to get inside himself. Once they were all inside though, Chika let go of his hand. "Hey! We need some help over here!"

Although, her suddenly loss of confidence wasn't a good sign, as far as Duo could tell. She almost sounded like she was lost herself, and he was just about to say as much, but between the chattering teeth and her sudden outburst, he kept his own trap shut. So maybe they weren't as lost as he thought.
Once inside, Duo wrapped his arms around himself, still shivering as he looked around the building from under the bill of his cap. His waist-long braid whipped this way and that, the tail of it threatening to smack against the girl who dragged him here and the talking bird. He was busy taking in the sights and almost missed the girl trying to call for someone's attention. She was giving him to the Alliance, he just knew it! He should have known better than to trust her! Now he was going to go back to the cell!
It was out of instinct, the way he reacted. He reached out to push the girl away and turned to dart towards the first door he saw. Locked. As was the next one. Great! Perfect! Looked like his only option was to brave the storm of white stuff. He didn't want to go back out there where it was cold, but he was NOT about to let himself get sent back to the Alliance. He'd go down kicking and screaming first!
He wasn't even sure if someone would stop him. He didn't pay any attention as he bolted for the door that led outside. Whether or not he was stopped, it was up to anyone who was close enough to grab him.

Biyomon could run even faster than she was though, so the pink bird was able to get a lot closer to Duo than Chika was able to. Now all he needed to do was get close enough so that he could grab the boy and drag him back to safety.
As soon as he was close enough that he thought he could do that, Biyomon lunged forward, intent on wrapping his arms around the boy and keeping him from moving.

However, Duo didn't get far. Between the sudden shift from the warm inside to the cold outside, the snow blocking his view and path, and his own inexperience with how to maneuver through it didn't allow him to get much farther passed the front door. It was actually really easy for Biyomon to tackle him face first into the snow, his cap flying off and down the street.
"G-G-Get off!" He lifted his head just enough to be able to yell. "Lemme go, you dumb chicken! I mean it! Lemme go!" He thrashed and tried to roll, but it wasn't enough to get free. He was caught. He was going back. "Dammit!"

Chika sighed as she walked with the two of them, eyes turning over at the boy in her partner's arms. "We're not going to hurt you. But we need to get you warmed up and into dry clothes. If we don't you'll freeze to death."
Biyomon turned to look over at Chika, and sighed. "Maybe he did something and he's afraid of getting into trouble?"
Chika didn't say anything, but she did turn around and saw the hat that went flying. "Umm, you make sure he doesn't run away again Biyomon. I'll be right back."
And with that, Chika darted down the street. She needed to get that hat back before they lost it for good.
no subject
N-Not because he liked the parrot! The bird was just a crutch. Nothing more!
He remained quiet, though, as Chika went after his cap. He wanted to reply about being in trouble, but he simply watched the girl go down the street.

Biyomon moved to shift himself a bit, making it possible for him to actually carry Duo if he needed too. "Do you think Milo might have some clothes that he can borrow?"
Chika sighed as she started to head back into the building. "I don't know, but if not I can ask someone else. It's not that big of a deal. We can't leave him like that and it's not like he can wear any of my things."
