TEST DRIVE MEME -- DECEMBER
TEST DRIVE MEME Interested in joining Terminal Tokyo? Well, before you apply feel free to testdrive any character you're interested in playing here! This is a good way to see how your character will work in the environment or even the potential CR. For the sake of this meme you are allowed to choose your own partners but it will not count as game canon. Nothing that happens here will, it's just for practice! That said we've decided to give you a bit of what you will see if you join the game. Keep in mind once a month we'll put up sets of missions your characters can join for bit, which is what some of these are! Others are mini-events. So here we go: 1 POWER PROBLEMS A swarm of Kunemon have invaded from the forest! Having electric attributes in their attacks, they're causing all sorts of power problems around the city. Can they be stopped before electrical fires start up? 2) BATTLE MUSIC: One of the shifts causes music to follow your character around for a maximum of two days. Are they upset? Rocking out? Whatever they're doing we hope they're enjoying their new battle theme! 3) CRAZY WEATHER WE'RE HAVING!: Have you ever heard the expression "raining cats and dogs?" Well, now it's raining Gatomon and Doggymon, and they're understandably pretty unhappy! Or maybe you happen to be on one of the more normal weather days, like a sudden heatwave, or a freak blizzard, or a raging sandstorm! Better watch out for that tornado day, too. You're already not in Kansas anymore, after all! 1) BABYSITTER ANYONE?: 300 BIT Petermon’s a jerk. He’s used his abilities to brainwash some baby Digimon into causing havoc around the city! Stop them from wrecking everything, again, but don’t hurt them too bad! 2) WE CAN REBUILD IT: 500 BIT The poor, poor city. It's in shambles! You've been drafted to help fix it up, in whatever way you can. Planting trees in the park? Fixing holes in the apartment building? Reconstruction of entire shops? Hope you're good with a hammer. 3) I'VE BEEN WORKING ON THE TRAILMON: 300 BIT Though they live in what's called a "graveyard", the Trailmon who live there are still Digimon and need love too. Give them a bath. Sing them a song. Treat them nicely, and they might give you a reward for keeping them company. 4 FIRE! 500 BIT The DemiMeramon's are a mischievous bunch, aren't they? Don't think so? Well, we hope that's not your house they're trying to burn down! A bunch of DemiMeramon are loose and setting fire to the outskirts of the city. Stop them before they destroy the whole city, but be careful! They may turn into Meramon, easy enough. 5) TRAINING WITH CHOSEN: 100 BIT With some of the recent Chosen adjusting to their roles, some of the newer Chosen might be looking to them for help, which includes fighting experience. In the spirit of promoting such camaraderie, an observing or participating NPC will give those actively training a few bits for their effort. And, as always, you're also allowed to do this in a free form! These are just ideas to get your gears rolling and see what to expect. (NOTE: All missions and events are more light-hearted here, but will not always be in game). |

She was a little surprised to see that the person who'd been hiding in the damaged building was about about her age. And he wasn't at all dressed for the weather. He'd freeze if he stayed out here. No wonder his teeth were chattering.
"I saw you come in here from across the street," she explained, pointing to the lighted window across the way as best she could while wearing mittens. "When you didn't come back out again after a little bit, I got worried. You can't stay out here, 'specially not dressed like that. You'll freeze your tail off."
Oh wait, that was right; humans didn't have tails. Ah well, the point still stood. "You should come back in with me, least til the storm's over."

"S-S'there an-n-nyone else th-there?" He shuffled a bit where he stood, unsure if he really should put enough trust in this person he didn't know to follow them home. Really, he didn't trust a lot of people, but he couldn't stay out here. Yeah, he was use to being on the street. Being on his own. But the colony was never this cold.
"C'n...w-we g-g-g-go?"

"And yeah, we should go. C'mon," she gestured for him to follow her, leading the shivering boy around to the main entrance to the modest apartment building. They lived on the second floor, but the sooner they got inside someplace, the better.

Duo jogged a little bit to keep up. The snow was was piling up quick and he was having trouble walking through it. Hopefully they were get to where she was staying soon, or he'd be buried in this cold and puffy white stuff.

Luckily, it didn't take too long for them to get across the street and to the building's main entrance. Kit pulled the door open and once the two of them were safely inside, shut it behind them.
Even just being inside the door was a marked improvement, temperature wise, and Kit gave a relieved sigh as she pulled off her hood and scarf and paused to wipe her boots on the mat. "That's better," she commented once her voice wasn't muffled anymore. "We just live on the second floor, so we'll be there in no time. Then we can get you some dry clothes and get something to eat."

The warmth of the building was welcoming, to say the least. Duo gave one last shiver before dusting off the snow from his clothes. He removed his hat just long enough to clean it off before it was placed back on his head. He took the time to look at this new place, his waist-long braid whipping around him and he turned his head this way and that. It was too open for his liking, but there plenty of places to hide if he needed to.
The girl's voice caught his attention and he looked at her before wrapping his arms around himself. He was all for getting dry and something to eat. His stomach agreed...loudly, and he blushed, embarrassed that he was given away so easily.
"Okay, fine, but only if we eat first," he huffed and pouted. He was having to rely on this new person, someone he didn't know at all, but it couldn't be helped. That didn't mean he had to like it...

"I'm Wily-Kit, by the way," she introduced herself, glancing back over her shoulder as they climbed the stairs to the second floor. "You can just call me Kit, though, if you want. What's your name?"
no subject
"M'Duo. Duo Maxwell." He paused before adding, "Thanks."
