TEST DRIVE MEME Interested in joining Terminal Tokyo? Well, before you apply feel free to testdrive any character you're interested in playing here! This is a good way to see how your character will work in the environment or even the potential CR. For the sake of this meme you are allowed to choose your own partners but it will not count as game canon. Nothing that happens here will, it's just for practice! That said we've decided to give you a bit of what you will see if you join the game. Keep in mind once a month we'll put up sets of missions your characters can join for bit, which is what some of these are! Others are mini-events. So here we go: MINI-EVENTS 1 POWER PROBLEMS A swarm of Kunemon have invaded from the forest! Having electric attributes in their attacks, they're causing all sorts of power problems around the city. Can they be stopped before electrical fires start up? 2) BATTLE MUSIC: One of the shifts causes music to follow your character around for a maximum of two days. Are they upset? Rocking out? Whatever they're doing we hope they're enjoying their new battle theme! 3) CRAZY WEATHER WE'RE HAVING!: Have you ever heard the expression "raining cats and dogs?" Well, now it's raining Gatomon and Doggymon, and they're understandably pretty unhappy! Or maybe you happen to be on one of the more normal weather days, like a sudden heatwave, or a freak blizzard, or a raging sandstorm! Better watch out for that tornado day, too. You're already not in Kansas anymore, after all! MISSIONS 1) BABYSITTER ANYONE?: 300 BIT Petermon’s a jerk. He’s used his abilities to brainwash some baby Digimon into causing havoc around the city! Stop them from wrecking everything, again, but don’t hurt them too bad! 2) WE CAN REBUILD IT: 500 BIT The poor, poor city. It's in shambles! You've been drafted to help fix it up, in whatever way you can. Planting trees in the park? Fixing holes in the apartment building? Reconstruction of entire shops? Hope you're good with a hammer. 3) I'VE BEEN WORKING ON THE TRAILMON: 300 BIT Though they live in what's called a "graveyard", the Trailmon who live there are still Digimon and need love too. Give them a bath. Sing them a song. Treat them nicely, and they might give you a reward for keeping them company. 4 FIRE! 500 BIT The DemiMeramon's are a mischievous bunch, aren't they? Don't think so? Well, we hope that's not your house they're trying to burn down! A bunch of DemiMeramon are loose and setting fire to the outskirts of the city. Stop them before they destroy the whole city, but be careful! They may turn into Meramon, easy enough. 5) TRAINING WITH CHOSEN: 100 BIT With some of the recent Chosen adjusting to their roles, some of the newer Chosen might be looking to them for help, which includes fighting experience. In the spirit of promoting such camaraderie, an observing or participating NPC will give those actively training a few bits for their effort. And, as always, you're also allowed to do this in a free form! These are just ideas to get your gears rolling and see what to expect. (NOTE: All missions and events are more light-hearted here, but will not always be in game).

[Tetsushi and Patamon are picking up stones and placing them in a wheelbarrow trying to clear the rubble of a building destroyed during Titanmon’s attack. Patamon was breathing heavily as he is not good at manual labor or built for it, his tiny wings flapped quickly as he drops off a chuck of rock into the wheelbarrow.]

Why are we doing this? I don’t like it one bit.

[Patamon sits down on top of the rocks in the wheelbarrow. Tesushi looks over to him and Shakes his head. Patamon looks back and smiles.]

We are doing this because it needs to get done, also we are new here and I think we should pull our own weight by helping out where we can.

But did it have to be rebuilding?

Yes, I like to build things with my hands and it should help build muscle. So when we do fight we will be nice and strong.

[Patamon gets up and starts moving rocks again.]

I still don’t like it.

Did they rope you into cleanup duty?

[ Murata, who has been taking a rather unnecessarily lengthy break after hauling debris around all morning, strolls over with a Terriermon at his side. After all that work, he figures he deserves a chance to chat and, from the look of it, these two could use a break as well. ]

Or are you seriously doing this because you want to?

[Tetsushi looks over to the Murata who just walked up. Patamon starts bouncing up and down thinking that he would get another break real soon.]

He wanted to do it. He said something about building muscles, but all I heard was we have to keep working. It sucks.

Well as you have already heard I chose to do this. I thought I would just help out where I can and this seemed to be the place to start. What about you roped in or otherwise?

I know that's what you said, but I find it odd that you feel so obligated to do it. Odd, but also commendable.

[ He's learned never to trust people on words alone. A good lesson, he thinks, as in his experience a person's words should always be cross-referenced with a person's long term actions. ]

I was helping clear the debris earlier because this Terriermon here wanted to help, but... well, there's only so much I can do, you know? This place is gonna need a couple of forklifts if they expect this place to get shipshape. It's almost like this world brought us here to act as its janitors, don't you think?

[lilpoppa]

[Tetsushi let out a small laugh. The thought of being the chosen janitor was more than he could keep to himself.]

The chosen janitors, we will save your world one mess at a time. I really hope they need us for more than just cleaning. It would be such a waste of my talents. As for feeling obligated to help out. I got a lot to make up for and I hope I will be able to do so here.

So are we on break now?

Yes go ahead and sit down and rest for a while, not like I could stop you anyways.

[He looks back over to Murata.]

So how long have you been in this world.... You know I never got your name. I am Tetsushi and you are?

[innermonologues]

If you don't like it then you can always leave.

[ Came a grumpy voice from another rubble pile. Squall was gathering large rocks and whatnot into barrels and moving them out of the way. He had a Kudamon wrapped around his neck and a Pawnchessmon wobbly helping him put things away. Needless to say this kid wasn't exactly the most cheerful.]

[lilpoppa]

[Patamon looks over to squall while picking up a large rock and dropping it into a barrel. He started to smile at the thought of being able to quit.]

Is that true? Can I leave?

[Patamon was now bouncing up and down waiting on Tetsushi answer. Who was shaking his head as he drops rocks into another barrel.]

I never said that you must help, only that it would be good for you. I think it could strengthen you a little, But if you want to stop that is your choice.

[Tetsushi dust off his hand and extends it out to the grumpy kid.]

I don't think we have met before. Hello I am Tetsushi Ichishi, Nice to meet you.

[innermonologues]

[ Squall gives him a look. The name sounded familiar. At least the last name did. He gave the other guy the up down look before going back to his work. He doesn't answer him for a while as he tries to figure out this kid. Kudamon instead decides to chime in.]

His name is Squall Leonhart. He's not very good at making friends. He's a bit shy.

[lilpoppa]

[Tetsushi looks down at his hand for a bit and then pulls it back shaking his head again thinking that the kid must have a good reason to be so antisocial, or at least hoping he did. He then looked over to Kudamon and smiled.]

Well thank you for introducing him and who might you be?

[innermonologues]

My name is Kudamon. Squall is my partner and we've been together ever since he first got here.

[ ..... He turns to face Tetsushi again with a serious stare. ]

Roze.

[lilpoppa]

[Tetsushi looks past Kudamon as if he was not even there. There was a seriousness to him that he did not have before. His left hand was now balled up in a fist as he starts staring at Squall]

What about her? How do you know her?

[innermonologues]

I I was correct. You know her somehow.

[ He frowns a bit and jumps down from his rock pile. ]

You know her and obviously share her name which means I don't want to know you.

[lilpoppa]

Forget about that! I want to know how you know her.

[He walks towards squall.]

What do you mean you don't want to know me because we share a name?

[innermonologues]

Judging by the information I was given and the reactions you are showing. You could either be a cousin or her father. Either way I'm not getting into the middle of that mess.

[lilpoppa]

Its seems that you have continued to fail to answer my question and it seems that you have no intention of answer it at all, but I will ask you one more time. How do you know Roze?

[innermonologues]

Why does it matter to you?

[ He finally stopped walking away from the other guy and ended up turning around to face him. The way he was so persistent in this matter Squall was pretty sure he must be her father. Though looking at him, she must have gotten her looks from her mother. ]

[lilpoppa]

Cause we are family and I would like to know, is that enough of a reason for you?

[He just stares at Squall as he turns around wondering what happened to this kid to make him such a prick. The way this kid pisses him off he feels that Squall had to be one of her close friends, but hopefully not her boyfriend.]

[innermonologues]

Not really.

[ He moved a hand to his hip as he stared at Tetsushi. Something about this guy struck him as something familiar and he didn't like it. ]

[lilpoppa]

Not really? Not really? You are something else kid. Why are you so closed lipped on this? What are you protecting?

[He was starting to think that Squall was playing with him, but at the same time this kid has not shown an ounce of emotion. It was like talking to a machine. At this point he loose his fist and puts his hands into his pocket.]

[innermonologues]

I'm not protecting anything. I just figure if a father is going to be nosy he can find out on his own.

[lilpoppa]

[Tetsushi wonders if the kid's powers of deductions are that great or if he prodding Tetsushi to reveal the truth of it himself.]

So Squall I think we might want to get back to the mission at hand. I would hate to not get paid for all the work I have done so far.

[He turns around and starts heading back to the rubble]

[innermonologues]

Finally you said something sensible.

[ He rolled his eyes at Tetsushi and headed back to his own rubble pile. ]

C'mon Squall. Theres no reason you can't be friends with him. He seems like a really nice guy!

Not from what Roze says.

[lilpoppa]

[Tetsushi goes back to moving rubble into the barrels pausing every now and then looking over to Squall wondering what he know about Roze and what she has told Squall about himself]

You know Patamon I think it going to be little rougher around here than I thought.

What do you mean?

You will just have to see for yourself as it unfolds

[innermonologues]

[ Kudamon slithered off of Squall's neck and moved over to Tetsushi with a frown. ]

Hey, Hey Tetsushi I'm really sorry for his attitude. He's really a nice guy if you get to know him.

[lilpoppa]

[Tetsushi stops what he is doing and turns to Kudamon. He remembers a time when he was mad at the world and how he treated everyone.]

I believe you I do, but I don't think he will ever really let me get to know him, either way we can be friends if you want.
