 Since rp is a very writing based hobby, sometimes it's hard to 'hear' what someone you're playing with sounds like.

And that's what this meme is for! Post links to examples of your character's voice. Episode clips, musical numbers, voice clips, anything! For our friends with canons that are non verbal post examples of what you 'hear' your character sounding like!

To save all our browsers though, please don't embed videos: links are much easier to load after all!

Edit: For bonus fun tell us about HOW your character speaks and what you keep in mind when doing dialogue. I love headcanon-y info and thought process stuff like this, ha.

Here's Neku at the begining of the Game and the End (spoilers of course!)

These two really show the HUGE difference in how Neku talks depending on his canon point. In the second video he's softer in tone. In TT he talks like the second.

Here's Neku's voice clips from actual gameplay, the main thing to note other then Neku yelping like a kicked dog and screaming at things if this is the only way you canonly hear Phone's laugh. In tags I tend to point out that his laugh is "short" and "surprised sounding" as if it's shocked out of him and he's not used to it. This is what I based that on.

And finally Neku in Dream Drop Distance. it's the same VA though he sounds a little deeper. Blame 6 years between jobs, anyone's voice would change a little. I also wouldn't be surprised if it was on purpose so he'd sound less like Roxas, his Japanese voice twin, who he also kinda sounds like in the original English

I tend to use Neku's long pauses between sentences, especially when he's serious or unsure about something, a lot in tags though ellipsis and slightly awkward breaks in dialogue. Neku also tends to wax poetic sometimes, especially when it's something he cares about.

Now, when he's being more casual, his word choices are a lot more relaxed. While he's not Beat, he uses slang and relaxed grammar (kinda, ya know, bounce, kick it, etc.)

lol, also when he's shocked or mad he tends to 'bark' sudden rudeness. I can't wait to use "Are you high?!"

Oh and a bonus: Terriermon sounds like a teenage 2 foot tall Sue Sylvester. When she evovles into Champion up it's pretty much exact
