TEST DRIVE MEME
Interested in joining Terminal Tokyo? Well, before you apply feel free to testdrive any character you're interested in playing here! This is a good way to see how your character will work in the environment or even the potential CR.

For the sake of this meme you are allowed to choose your own partners but it will not count as game canon. Nothing that happens here will, it's just for practice!

That said we've decided to give you a bit of what you will see if you join the game. Keep in mind once a month we'll put up sets of missions your characters can join for bit, which is what some of these are! Others are mini-events. So here we go:

MINI-EVENTS
1) POWER PROBLEMS A swarm of Kunemon have invaded from the forest! Having electric attributes in their attacks, they're causing all sorts of power problems around the city. Can they be stopped before electrical fires start up?
2) IT'S A FILM NOIR, SEE? Why's the whole world in black-and-white? Why are you wearing 20's outfits? Why is there dramatic music, the urge to get a pack of smokes, and seedy looking detectives everywhere?! Watch out, everyone, the gangsters are about...and the internal monologue.
3) CRAZY WEATHER WE'RE HAVING!: Have you ever heard the expression "raining cats and dogs?" Well, now it's raining Gatomon and Doggymon, and they're understandably pretty unhappy! Or maybe you happen to be on one of the more normal weather days, like a sudden heatwave, or a freak blizzard, or a raging sandstorm! Better watch out for that tornado day, too. You're already not in Kansas anymore, after all!

MISSIONS
1) LAFFY TAFFY: 500 BIT A new candy shop is about to open, but there is just one problem. THERE ARE NO TAFFY PULLERS TO MAKE THE TAFFY FOR THE GRAND OPENING! And everyone knows that taffy is the best candy of all. Chosen and their partners get paid a mighty fine fee for aiding in the pulling of the taffy. Watch out that you don't get stuck!
2) OPERATOR?: 800 BIT The forests of the Digital World are strange places, especially with everything merging together. It looks like an unusual amount of weird telephone booths are showing up all over the place, displaying weird bursts of static and odd messages. Track down the booths and see if there's anything of importance...or listen to how to travel to Mars with a canoe. The second one's more likely. Watch out for Kuwagamon. He's irritable.
3) MON-DO EXPLORATION: 500 BIT A new continent is open! Folder may not be as big and vast as Server, but there are so many places to explore! Be careful not to get too turned around! Who knows what Digimon lurk in the shadows...
4) TRAINING WITH CHOSEN: 100 BIT With some of the recent Chosen adjusting to their roles, some of the newer Chosen might be looking to them for help, which includes fighting experience. In the spirit of promoting such camaraderie, an observing or participating NPC will give those actively training a few bits for their effort.

And, as always, you're also allowed to do this in a free form! These are just ideas to get your gears rolling and see what to expect.
(NOTE: All missions and events are more light-hearted here, but will not always be in game).

[Axel stood looking up and down the row of phone booths, pondering which one to try first. Finally, he just shrugged and walked over to the nearest one, his Ryudamon following along behind him. He picked up the receiver and...]

"Why is a raven like a three-toed sloth?"

...Well, I think I know where these phones call from.

Really? Where?

Wonderland.

Huh?

... Never mind. Let's try the next one.

[A little down the way, Heavy has found himself having an animated but confused argument in Russian that can probably be heard in Tokyo proper.

Another Ryudamon is looking close by, before spotting Axel and... his partner.]

Heeeey! Can you guys help, I think my partner is going to punch down this phone.

[Axel quirked an eyebrow. He didn't speak Russian, so the one-sided argument was so much loud gibberish to him. Not that the phones were much better, but at least this way, he had a chance of getting somewhere. A glance at his partner who shrugged, leaving it up to him, and he headed over.]

Can't say I blame you there, big guy, but somehow I don't think yelling at the phone is gonna accomplish anything.

[Whoever this stranger was, he wasn't speaking loud enough to get over the argument, so it's not until Heavy slams the phone back in (with a very audible crunch) that he notices Axel's existence.]

Does not matter. Was yelling back at me. Insults. [And he's still pretty enraged about it.

His Ryudamon is quickly coming back, trying to run damage control.] Heavy, hey, I don't think breaking it will help. Besides, it's all nonsense, right?

Da, but insulting nonsense! [With that, he turns back to Axel] Has been same for you? Yes, no?

Actually, I've been getting riddles. Unless you count questions about ravens and sloths as insulting, of course.

Riddles? I am not getting any riddles.

Oh, oh! Maybe it's different for everyone else! [Ryudamon beams like he just figured out quantum theory.]

[Axel nods to the other Ryudamon.]

Might just be.

[Turns back to Heavy.]

Whats say we try a few more of these things before we start smashing them because recordings are being insulting, hmm?

[...It's Axel. It's Axel, and he's talking in a phone booth. Why is he here?

Oh, well, this is his chance. His chance to prove Sora wrong about him. Grumbling, the Replica bunches his hands into fists, puffs out his chest, and stomps over to him.]

Hey, you!

[There's a Kotemon and Gabumon toddling close behind, the Gabumon wearing a gigantic smirk.]

[At the sound of the familiar voice, Axel turns to look, only to have his eyes widen slightly. Riku?... No, the Replica; the real Riku would look older by now. Aparently he wasn't the only one who was a lot less dead than they ought to be...]

Well... this is a surprise.

[Smooth as ever, Axel.]

Right. A perfect surprise... Just what I've been waiting for.

[He rolls his eyes and slaps both of his hands down on his hips. All the while, his Gabumon snickers and cracks his knuckles, while his Kotemon tugs on his pant leg.]

C'mon, don't pick fights... That won't get us anywhere.

[Axel's Ryudamon steps forward to stand next to his partner. He makes no further moves, but he's clearly ready to step in and defend Axel if necessary. Axel, however, gestures at him to settle down... for the moment.]

It is, huh? Any particular reason why? Or did you just miss my... charming personality?

Charming? Oh, sure, and that's exactly why you'd take advantage of me just to wipe your trail clean.

[His fingers grip at his pants, and he leans forward. It's taking a lot of willpower to keep his voice at a moderate, steady volume.]

You say that as if I singled you out specifically. Back then I was playing the whole castle against each other. And if anything, I left you alone pretty much til the end.

[He leaves out the fact that at that point it really hadn't taken much of a push to send the Replica off on the train to crazy land, which would probably be the very wrong thing to say at this point.]

And you could've left me alone after that too, but nope. You need somebody to axe Zexion.

[And that power didn't even work... Nothing worked, and while the Replica knows he's partially at fault, he's not about to take all the blame with a very convenient scapegoat standing right in front of him.]

True enough. Zexion had been getting too nosy, and you were a convenient way to deflect suspicion.

Not that it did either of us much good, in the end. And if it makes you feel any better, I'm not exactly proud of it these days.

[Axel shrugs slightly, frowning a bit. Yes, he's well aware of how much of a bastard he'd been back then, but he likes to think he's improving, at least a little.]
