Test Drive Meme
Interested in joining Terminal Tokyo? Well, before you apply feel free to testdrive any character you're interested in playing here! This is a good way to see how your character will work in the environment or even the potential CR. For the sake of this meme you are allowed to choose your own partners but it will not count as game canon. Nothing that happens here will, it's just for practice! That said we've decided to give you a bit of what you will see if you join the game. Keep in mind once a month we'll put up sets of missions your characters can join for bit, which is what some of these are! Others are mini-events. So here we go: 1) POWER PROBLEMS A swarm of Kunemon have invaded from the forest! Having electric attributes in their attacks, they're causing all sorts of power problems around the city. Can they be stopped before electrical fires start up? 2) IT'S A FILM NOIR, SEE? Why's the whole world in black-and-white? Why are you wearing 20's outfits? Why is there dramatic music, the urge to get a pack of smokes, and seedy looking detectives everywhere?! Watch out, everyone, the gangsters are about...and the internal monologue. 3) CRAZY WEATHER WE'RE HAVING!: Have you ever heard the expression "raining cats and dogs?" Well, now it's raining Gatomon and Doggymon, and they're understandably pretty unhappy! Or maybe you happen to be on one of the more normal weather days, like a sudden heatwave, or a freak blizzard, or a raging sandstorm! Better watch out for that tornado day, too. You're already not in Kansas anymore, after all! 1) LAFFY TAFFY: 500 BIT A new candy shop is about to open, but there is just one problem. THERE ARE NO TAFFY PULLERS TO MAKE THE TAFFY FOR THE GRAND OPENING! And everyone knows that taffy is the best candy of all. Chosen and their partners get paid a mighty fine fee for aiding in the pulling of the taffy. Watch out that you don't get stuck! 2) OPERATOR?: 800 BIT The forests of the Digital World are strange places, especially with everything merging together. It looks like an unusual amount of weird telephone booths are showing up all over the place, displaying weird bursts of static and odd messages. Track down the booths and see if there's anything of importance...or listen to how to travel to Mars with a canoe. The second one's more likely. Watch out for Kuwagamon. He's irritable. 3) MON-DO EXPLORATION: 500 BIT A new continent is open! Folder may not be as big and vast as Server, but there are so many places to explore! Be careful not to get too turned around! Who knows what Digimon lurk in the shadows... 4) TRAINING WITH CHOSEN: 100 BIT With some of the recent Chosen adjusting to their roles, some of the newer Chosen might be looking to them for help, which includes fighting experience. In the spirit of promoting such camaraderie, an observing or participating NPC will give those actively training a few bits for their effort. And, as always, you're also allowed to do this in a free form! These are just ideas to get your gears rolling and see what to expect. (NOTE: All missions and events are more light-hearted here, but will not always be in game). |

Starscream.
The voice, so cloyingly familiar to him since the beginning of their encounter. Every time he spoke, the suspicion clawed at him at the mere sound. And now it makes sense.
Arcee looming over him, blaster charging in fury. The charred remains of his T-cog cradled in his hands; the loss of exactly what makes him important to the team destroyed with it. Fowler hanging from restraints after an interrogation, battered and delirious. The terrible sound of laughter, and powerful turbines sailing over the battlefield, signalling the arrival of an armada of seekers to rain down fire to scorch the earth.
He detaches his hand abruptly from Starscreen's with a quick jerk. He knew he was talking to a Decepticon, but that name colors this meeting very differently. It isn't some rank and file Decepticon, it's Megatron's right hand man. Second in Command to their mortal enemy.
He speaks nothing for a few moments. He regards Starscream with intense scrutiny as he reminds himself: This isn't the same StarScream. Not the same mannerisms, or the prideful boasting, or the manipulative rhetoric. Starscream would never say such things, especially not with such sincerity.

I'm not sure about him, but I graduated from the Crystal City College before the war. My pursuits were purely scientific. Still would be, if I had any real say in the matter. [ he even frowns, almost talking to himself here instead of the bot in front of him. ] There's nothing productive or interesting in engineering weapons. Revisiting some of my old work was thrilling, for a time, and the stellar spanner is of grave importance if we want to go back home -
[ yeah, sorry Bee. he's going to start rambling about how taxing and boring war sciences are and about all of the things - good things that would BENEFIT ALL - would be more appropriate for a scientist of his caliber. 8V

[Then Bumblebee silently raises a hand, palm open towards Starscream. It's a gesture motioning for Starscream to give Bumblebee a chance to speak. His voice is softer the second time around.]

About how you introduce yourself.
[Bumblebee's settled into a calmer state, which sets Vanguard much more at ease. He's no less happy to have all this multi-verse, alternate reality business complicating his life right now. But at least, he's comfortable in admitting this is not the same Starscream as the one he knows. Science and engineering and leaving a 'beneficial scientific legacy']
The bot who shares your name in our world is more interested in power and violent conquest than they are in the 'betterment of Cybertron.'

I'm open to suggestions on how to go about that, when the time is right.
[ as it is going to be impossible to avoid everyone forever. if he is the one that has to be careful, then so be it. Starscream will take the step down if means others will be more comfortable. he might likely adjust more readily than the others.
even if what Bee says is unnerving. it shows in his features as well. ]

Depends on which of the Autobots you meet first. Most of them would give you a chance to explain.
[Except maybe Whirl. Who knows what happens in that bot's universe. He hardly knows how Whirl is going to react to anything, honestly.]
But I wouldn't throw around Cliffjumper's name so easily. Especially since... his partner is here.
And the Starscream from our universe...? Is one of the reasons why our Cliffjumper isn't.

[ Starscream does not like brutality. doesn't care for snuffing out sparks. he longs for methods of fighting that do not actually hurt anyone. it's just not IN HIM to put anyone down, though there have been times he's had to.
but he knows how the Autobots are and if things are reversed, then Starscream can only think of how Prime and HIS men would take someone out. and that is not a pretty sight. it's sickening... ]
